Meet the team

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
After a career in banking & finance, I finally had enough! I’ve always wanted to open a fitness space, and after just one Reformer session, I was obsessed!
I really struggled to get back into the gym and had no idea why, and after years of weightlifting in my teens and early 20s, I kept feeling like like heavy weights and long runs was stressing my body out, making me tight and leading to injuries! I would try to stretch out my tight hips but if I missed a session would end up tighter! I had an ankle injury which stopped me from running and asked myself is this what turning 30 is about?! Ha !
I then started Reformer pilates, which involves dynamic stretching whilst incorporating strengthening and slow, controlled movements. It was so calming but challenging at the same time. The ankle mobility stretches I had aimed to do by myself to sort out my ankle, I was doing as part of every class. It was only a few sessions in and my ankle had made a fully recovery! The incorporation of breathing meant I was slowing down my nervous system and has even lead to me sleeping better!
Not only this, I felt my posture improved, I felt stronger and more confident. I love that it is gentle on your body and challenging at the same time, and I know this is something that will benefit me even in my 90s! I finally felt I was doing something consistent and most importantly, enjoying it! Rather than dreading the gym and wrecking my body with intense workouts where I needed to take breaks due to injury, Reformer gives me peace and longevity, and I feel I am really taking care of my mind, body and spirit.
After years of working in an unfulfilling desk job, I wanted to help others and contribute to changing other peoples lives too through Reformer, so me and Hannah got together and BLOC STUDIO was born! I handed my notice in at work in Nov 24 and the journey began!
I am currently studying towards my Mat and Reformer qualifications with HFE and look forward to teaching in the future <3.
